Brian R. Keyes was born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, in 1951, and was raised in Bucks and Hunterdon counties. He attended Solebury Private School and New Hope-Solebury High School. He graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. from Temple University in 1975, with numerous honors (Phi Beta Kappa, President's Scholar, Phi Alpha Theta) where he was elected by his peers to serve as a Director of the Honors Program. He received a JD from Temple Law School in 1978, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class.

Upon graduation, Mr Keyes joined the Doylestown firm of Eastburn and Gray, which he left to establish his own practice in 1985. Since that time, he has maintained offices in New Hope, Pennsylvania and Lambertville, New Jersey. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, the Fed. District Courts of New Jersey and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Bucks County Bar Assn., the Community School of New Hope-Solebury, the Riverside Symphonia, and has served as Chair of the Real Estate (2 times) and Orphans Court Sections of the Bucks County Bar Assn. He has taught courses in various venues in the areas of real estate law and estate planning and administration. In 1988 he received an award for leading the bar in the development of on-line access to the Bucks County Courthouse databases.

Brian Keyes lives with his wife, Lisa Gladden-Keyes and two sons, John and Ross, in Solebury Township.
